We are no longer using this site for selling soap. Granny Annie's soaps and crafts are sold along with our daughters' and granddaughter's crafts on an Etsy site they share called A Number of Things.

The making of homemade soap, although once a necessity, has become not only a unique folk art inviting a journey back to a simpler time, but also a kinder, gentler, more natural way to treat your skin. Granny Annie's soaps are handcrafted in small batches using a natural, all vegetable base of pure, food grade olive and coconut oils with palm oil or a little beeswax added to increase firmness and of course, sodium hydroxide to saponify the oils. Other pure food grade nutrients and / or vegetable oils are added to some bars. Soaps are lightly scented with pure essential oils and/or fragrance oils. Embedded in each Good News Bar is a different short, inspirational verse from holy scripture. A great gift! Or enjoy a bar for yourself! Click here for details.
The name Granny Annie was bestowed on me in 1994 by our oldest daughter when our first grand baby was born. I have since become Granny Annie to eight grandchildren and many little friends. I became interested in making soap in 1998 when I bought a soapmaking book with a Christmas gift certificate. Since then I have enjoyed soapmaking not only as a creative outlet, but also for providing a much healthier and more enjoyable alternative to commercially made soaps for family and friends.
We are promoting other merchants of quality. The small commissions they give help defray our expenses. Please support them when you can and let us know via our Contact Us page what you think. You will see the links on the left as we add the merchants.

All soaps are available either with or without wrapping. Wrapped bars are beautifully gift wrapped in clear plastic, a sleeve of colorful old fashioned calico fabric and tied with raffia with a center trim. Wrapping selection details will appear in shopping area.
